Bobrisky speaks on bribing EFCC operatives

My body's worth N4.5m: Bobrisky rocks outfit, gold of N6m to birthday party

Popular crossdresser and social media influencer, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has refuted bribery allegations levelled against him by fellow influencer Martins Otse, alias VeryDarkMan.

The controversy began when VeryDarkMan released a viral audio clip alleging that Bobrisky had paid N15 million to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an attempt to dismiss money laundering charges against him.

In response, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, announced that the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had initiated an investigation into the claims.

Bobrisky took to Instagram on Wednesday to categorically deny the allegations. He asserted that he had not bribed any EFCC officer and emphasized that he had served his time in prison.

He described the audio recording as fraudulent, stating, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”

The crossdresser’s denial adds another layer to the ongoing discourse surrounding his legal battles and public persona, as both he and the EFCC seek to clarify the situation.
