Bobrisky is accused of offering N15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges and avoid jail time.

An audio recording, released by activist Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), purportedly captures Bobrisky making the bribe offer.

Although Bobrisky denied the audio’s authenticity, labeling it “fake,” he said the controversy has taken a toll on his mental wellbeing.

In his Facebook post, Bobrisky expressed feelings of despair: “I have never thought about suicide in my life, but now it’s coming to my head… seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow humans just to bring them down.”

He continued: “I don’t need sympathy from anyone. The people I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters, you won.”
