He founded the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in 1999. With approximately 20,000 members spread over its four main branches in Ilorin, Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Dubai, COZA has developed into a mega-church in the modern era.
The branch in Ilorin opened first, followed by those in Abuja in 2008, Lagos in 2012, Port Harcourt in 2016, and Dubai in 2017. Since its founding, the church has grown tremendously and is still making progress today.
In addition to his work as a pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo is a skilled guitarist and vocalist. He is also the owner of the Gratitude music label. Due to the success of the song Raba Raba Eh, his music label was awarded the UK Gospel Touch Music Award.
Many have claimed that Biodun Fatoyinbo had very little support network at the beginning of his ministry. He had a challenging road to success as a Christian preacher. Modele, his wife, supported him even though he did not yet have the fame and money he had now.
Only four ordained pastors currently work at COZA’s four branches. COZA was founded as a non-governmental organization (NGO).
Biodun Fatoyinbo asserts that the church’s primary goal is to encourage as many people as possible to hear that their responsibility is to serve God at all times.
