United States attorney’s office at the central district of California has revealed that Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi will be sentenced on Valentine’s Day (February 14), according to BBC Pidgin.

Thom Mrozek, the court’s director of media relations, is reported to have said Hushpuppi’s case is set to come to a close.

“The court has scheduled the case of Mr Abbas for sentencing on February 14, 2022” Mrozek said.

However, the court’s spokesperson did not give any information on the duration of the trial and how long Hushpuppi’s sentence will be.

The social media influencer had pleaded guilty to money laundering in a US court in 2021. Court documents filed in California said Hushpuppi’s crimes cost victims almost $24m (£17m) in total.
