“I’m very proud of the fact that I have kept her image completely protected,” her mother, Heather Mills told Oprah Winfrey, in 2016.

Heather was born to Eastman and her then-husband Joseph Melville See Jr., on December 31, 1962, in Tucson, Arizona. However, her parents divorced when she was three. She was officially adopted by Paul McCartney after he married her mother on March 2, 1969.

Heather studied printing at the Photographers’ Workshop in Covent Garden, London and won the Young Black and White Printer of the Year award. She then studied pottery and design in college. The 61-year-old is now an established potter, having launched her line of houseware products, called Heather McCartney Designs. Like her youngest step-sister, Heather has largely kept out of the public eye.

Mary is the elder McCartney and Eastman’s first child together. She was born on August 28, 1969, around the time when the Beatles were breaking up. Mary followed in her mother’s footsteps in photography after she fell in love with the profession as a child.

Today, Mary’s works are displayed in galleries all over the world and featured in various publications, including GQ, Vogue and the Sunday Times. She was also selected to photograph Queen Elizabeth to commemorate her record-breaking reign in 2015.

Mary is also a filmmaker and directed her debut documentary – If These Walls Could Sing. The documentary is about the history of Abbey Road Studios — where the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush and other legendary musicians have recorded. Mary also hosts her own Food Network show, Mary McCartney Serves It Up which was nominated for “Outstanding Culinary Series” at the Daytime Emmy Awards in 2022. Stella was born in London on September 13, 1971. She has a successful career as one of the most well-known fashion designers in the world. Stella studied fashion at some of London’s most elite schools, including the prestigious Central Saint Martins. While there, she studied under Edward Sexton, who would later help her launch her first collection for Chloé.

Stella was named the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards “Designer of the Year” in 2000. The following year, she stepped down from Chloé to launch her eponymous line. She is currently married to Alasdhair Willis, the consultant she hired to help launch her line. The couple share four children: sons Miller and Beckett and daughters Bailey and Reiley.

James is the only son of McCartney and is Beatrice McCartney’s only stepbrother. He was born in London on September 12, 1977.

Like his father, James pursued a professional music career and is now an accomplished singer-songwriter and musician. He collaborated with his father on some projects, including McCartney’s solo albums, Flaming Pie and Driving Rain, in which James played drums and guitar on a few tracks. He also co-wrote some of the songs.

James has his solo projects like the EP, Available Light, released in 2010; Close at Hand and The Complete EP Collection (2011). He also released two albums – Me (2013) and The Blackberry Train (2016).

Father

Sir James Paul McCartney is an English singer, songwriter and musician who gained worldwide fame with the Beatles, where he played bass guitar and shared primary songwriting and lead vocal duties with John Lennon. Known for his versatile and wide tenor vocal range, McCartney explored music genres like pre-rock and roll pop, classical, ballads and electronica.

As a result of his performances, McCartney has an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, 18 Grammy Awards, an appointment as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) and was appointed Knight Bachelor.  He was also inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, first as part of the Beatles and then as a solo artist. Heather Mills is an English former model, businesswoman and animal rights activist. She was involved in a traffic collision with a police motorcycle in London, resulting in the amputation of her left leg in 1093. However, she continued her modelling career using a prosthetic limb.

Their relationship

Both McCartney and Mill met in 2000 and began a relationship. The couple got married in June  2002 and had Beatrice McCartney the following year. In the interview with Oprah, Mills called Beatrice her “miracle” child after she was told she “could never have children after having two ectopic pregnancies and four miscarriages”.

Both McCartney and Mills separated in 2006 and finalised their divorce in 2008. Mills was awarded a total of £24.3 million plus payments of £35,000 per annum for a nanny and school costs for her child.
