Declan Rice has officially joined Arsenal from West Ham United, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The deal, reportedly worth a staggering £105 million, sets a new club record for Arsenal.
This move marks the end of his ten-year journey with West Ham, where he started as a youth-team player and eventually became the club captain.

During his time at West Ham, he played in 245 matches and recently helped them win the Europa Conference League, their first trophy in 43 years.
With the addition of 24-year-old Declan Rice, Arsenal’s summer spending reaches a total of £208 million.
Prior to Rice’s arrival, Arsenal had already acquired Kai Havertz from Chelsea for £65 million and Jurrien Timber from Ajax for £38 million.

Reports suggest that the £105 million deal for Rice is structured as an initial payment of £100 million, spread over 24 months, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.
These add-ons include £1 million each time Arsenal qualify for the Champions League and when Rice starts in 60 per cent of games.
In an interview with the Arsenal website, Rice expressed his determination to elevate his game to new heights alongside the Gunners and praised the club’s manager, Mikel Arteta.
“I know he’s going to get the best out of me. I know I’ve got more levels to go up in my game, and I feel like he’s the manager to take me to those next levels. I’m really excited to be working with him,” he said.

Speaking about the move, Manager Mikel Arteta said: “We’re really happy that Declan is joining us. He is a player with tremendous ability, who has been performing at a high level in the Premier League and for England for a number of seasons now. Declan is bringing undoubted quality to the club and he is an exceptional talent who has the potential to be very successful here.
“Declan has great experience in the Premier League at only 24 years old. He has captained a very good West Ham team and as we all saw, he recently lifted a European trophy. The responsibility and role he has taken on has been very impressive and we are really excited that he is joining us.”
Declan Rice will wear the number 41 shirt for the team.
