The young Argentine scored an acrobatic goal for Manchester United in their 3-0 victory at Goodison Park in late November.

Fans quickly compared his strike to Wayne Rooney’s famous overhead kick against Manchester City in 2011.
Garnacho celebrated his goal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siuuu’ gesture, paying homage to the world-class forward known for his own overhead kicks.

“I can’t believe it,” United’s number 17 said after the match. “I didn’t see how I scored; I just heard the crowd and thought, ‘Oh my god’.”
This marks the first time a United player has won the award since its inception in 2016/17.
Garnacho’s goal outshone efforts from teammates Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, and Kobbie Mainoo, as well as Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, Brentford’s Saman Ghoddos, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, Manchester City’s Oscar Bobb, and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo.
