On Wednesday, May 25, Nigerians joined the rest of Africa to celebrate Africa Day.
The night before, creative industry influencers gathered at The YouTube Africa Day Concert in Victoria Island, Lagos, all adorned in African attires.

Some of the continent’s biggest music stars from Nigeria, South Africa, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania were also in attendance to thrill the gathering of fellow Africans.
Africa Day, celebrated every May 25, is an annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity on 25 May 1963.
Set aside to celebrate the diversity of African culture, the day is celebrated across the African continent and around the world.
Although the organisation was disbanded in July 2002 and is now referred to as African Union (AU), the day continues to be celebrated on May 25.
