Nigerian singer and songwriter, Adekunle Kosoko, who is professionally known as Adekunle Gold, has opened up on his lifelong struggles with sickle cell anemia.
He revealed that he was diagnosed with sickle cell since birth. During a latest stage performance, the singer paid homage to other sickle cell survivors.

In a video that has gone viral on X, he expressed his gratitude to God for his successful music career and worldwide recognition, despite his health condition.
He further encouraged those facing similar health challenges to continue chasing their dreams with the determination to make it.
During his performance of the song “5 Star,” the singer dedicated it to all sickle cell survivors.
