9-year-old Saudi boy who carried his sisters bags get rewarded

A young kid who was pictured carrying multiple bags in company of his two sisters has been honoured.

The 9-year-old boy, identified as Mishaal Al Shahrani, was returning from school with his sisters, Sarah and Noura, and decided to carry all the school bags belonging to his sisters in addition to his own.

Saudi Gazette reported that the boy’s father shared the picture on his family’s WhatsApp group, and it has since gone viral from there.

This heroic act by the young boy has been applauded by many quarters on the internet who believe he would grow up into an exceptional young man who’s emotionally intelligent.

Also, the boy has gained the attention of a governor in Saudi Arabia, who has rewarded him with cash gifts, as reported by Saudi Expatriates. The governor of Khamis Mushayt hailed the boy’s action stating it’s a sign of good parenting.

While speaking to the media, the 9-year-old said, “I love helping my sisters whenever we are returning from school. The bags were not heavy, but I wanted to help them in the crowd and the hot weather.”

Meanwhile, a Nigerian lady boldly expressed her support for her boyfriend by visiting him while he’s in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The Lagos-based lady revealed in a video she shared online that the EFCC raided her boyfriend’s estate, and he was arrested alongside his friend.

In the video, she captured herself along the Lekki tollgate, heading to the Lagos office of the anti-graft agency.
