Mrs. Roseline Umar, a 73-year-old Nigerian grandmother, is challenging age norms with her impressive fitness routine, incorporating weightlifting and boxing.

In a widely shared video interview with the BBC, Mrs. Umar detailed how her rigorous workouts make her feel like she has the body of a much younger woman.

She humorously noted her enjoyment of bench pressing and warned not to underestimate her, as she is also skilled in boxing.

Mrs. Umar’s fitness journey began with a goal to lose weight and alleviate joint pain that disrupted her sleep.

Following a doctor’s advice, she joined a gym and aimed to lose at least 10 kilos. For the past 16 years, she has consistently woken up at 6 a.m. to hit the gym five days a week and has no plans to stop.

Highlighting the importance of regular exercise, Umar encouraged everyone to give it a try, showcasing how dedication to fitness can lead to remarkable health benefits regardless of age.
