Nigerian music enthusiasts have backed afrobeat star Asake to walk away with the ‘Next Rated’ award at the 2023 Headies Awards.
A Twitter user, @Quin_esther_, had started the discussion before hundreds of other users backed her.
Asake was nominated alongside Young John, Victony, Spyro, and Seyi Vibez.

Asake, whose tracks Lonely at the top and Sungba Remix have enjoyed massive airplay and streaming numbers, has undoubtedly made a significant impact on the Nigerian music scene.
However, Young John, Victony, Spyro, and Seyi Vibez each have their dedicated followings and impressive musical journeys.
