17-year-old girl with outstanding result gains admission to 18 U.S universities, wins N480 million scholarship

 An intelligent 17-year-old girl, Shanya Robinson-Owens, has been rewarded for her brilliance with multiple university admissions and a scholarship.

Following her excellent academic performance of a 3.2 CGPA in high school, Shanya applied to 25 U.S. universities for admission.

To her surprise, 18 of the universities offered her admission with a scholarship worth over N480 million ($1M).

The schools that accepted the psychology major include Lincoln University, Missouri, Moravian College, La Salle University and Cabrini University, Pennsylvania, among others.

Reacting to the acceptance from the universities, Shanya, in a chat with ABC, said, “I was really shocked. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know if I could cry or laugh, I didn’t know what to do.”

17-year-old homeless boy wins N1 billion scholarship

Despite facing difficulties as a homeless boy, Tupac Mosley, a 17-year-old student has won himself a $3 million scholarship fund to study at the university after graduating as the best student from high school.

Tupac who came out tops at the Raleigh Egypt High School, Tennessee, United States, also won the Gates Bridge Scholarship and got the nod from over 40 universities in the United States.

He reportedly became homeless when his family was evicted from their home for not paying their debt.

After moving from residence to residence, they eventually came across a non-profit organization that provided them shelter at a camping site.
